Yesterday, my new doctor called.
He said that my labrum is still torn. And after reading the op reports from Provo, it appears that it was in fact never fixed.
SO, I'm left with two choices.
The safe route of a steroid shot and physical therapy. (Oh wait, been there done that)
OR surgery again.
I've already been on two rounds of oral steroid treatment, which was supposed to be just as effective as the shot. So it looks as though surgery it is.
It's basically my decision.
Now I have to decide: Does my fear of surgery/infection/another hospital stay outweigh my fear of never being able to run/hike/walk normally again?
Forgive my complaining. But I really don't like this.
