Day 2 in Rom

We wake up. What to do today?? Oh I don't know, we're in Rome. How about let's go to the Circus Maximus. Oh ok.

So that's what we did our first morning in Rome. We went to the Circus Maximus (that's where they did chariot races in ancient days), and had our own little 'horse' race. Pictures are on Facebook. Then we explored capital hill. We went all around the Forum and got some great pictures there. Then we made our way to the tomb of the unknow solider. After that we went to the Pantheon. Which was more majestic than I expected. The dome there really is amazing. We walked EVERYWHERE. This day was just so full and mostly we just saw the sights around Rome. Life in Rome was so unreal. It's hard to explain but I'll try. Rome is an amazing city and it was the height of western civilazation for so long. And even today it's full of so many great and wonderful things. But at the same time, it's very dirty. And I didn't think the people were very friendly. However, I don't speak Italian, so that could have been part of my problem. Overall, day two was great! But nothing tops the rest of our visit. We spent the rest of our time there in the Vatican. Which will be the next stop on this crazy blogging ride.
